“This mortal form has grown weak. I need sustenance!” – Thor
Found this super cute mini Thor plush at Madame Tussauds Bangkok. The museum was not that impressive, but worth the visit since it is located so close to Siam Paragon and it displayed Asia’s leaders such as Aung San Suu Kyi and the first president of Indonesia, Soekarno (which I reckon weren’t displayed elsewhere).
Widely regarded as Bangkok’s best rooftop bar, Sky Bar’s innovative cocktails, striking atmosphere and spectacular views have made it a highlight of the Bangkok nightlife scene, and creations like the interesting Poptails where the mixologist brings together the cocktails and popsicle ice for the summer or the well-known Hangovertini, which was created for the cast of The Hangover Part II while they were filming at lebua, have endeared it to the Hollywood crowd as well.
The glittering multi-hued island Sky Bar is impeccably situated not just for some of the best views in Bangkok: it is also just steps from the award-winning Sirocco restaurant, positioning you perfectly for some extraordinary pre- and post-dinner cocktails and an unforgettable evening under the stars.
If you’re planning on going to the Sky Bar, you can take a taxi from Siam Paragon for 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The Sky Bar wasn’t that crowded when we visited the day before New Year’s Eve. But if you want to try their iconic rooftop restaurant Sirocco or the famous fine-dining restaurant Mezzaluna, you need to make a reservation way in advance (I tried to book a table for 3 two weeks before, and there was none available, even their 23:00 appointment). I mean, who dine at midnight anyway?
For those who don’t drink alcohol, try their mocktails, the drinks are reasonably priced and totally worth the view ❤︎
