Review : Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Café Singapore

Reminiscent of a grand and resplendent garden blooming with lush greenery and opulent flowers amidst an elaborate and rustic setting, the Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Café is the perfect secret hideout away from the hustle and bustle of city life. A well curated menu features deliciously wholesome fare that range from afternoon tea sets to popular brunch and breakfast fare with signature Hello Kitty flair. The pièce de résistance would be the brilliant spread of delectable desserts such as gelato sundaes, waffles, pastries and tea cakes. Our in-house baristas will also ensure that diners end their meals on a memorable note with special handcrafted beverages.

Located in Terminal 3 Changi Airport, the newly opened Hello Kitty café is the latest “it” place either for locals to have brunch during the weekend, or for people having layover in Singapore to have midnight snacks. Turn left after you leave the arrival hall in terminal 3 and you’ll see the eye-catching café. The queue was known to be long during peak hours, but when I arrived last Tuesday at noon, the queue was quite short and I got to seat at the most-wanted place, the swing chairs.

Food wise, I think the one in Bangkok has more tastier food and more extensive choices. But the marshmallow tea and Kitty Blush drink tasted good. I especially like the Kitty Blush, it’s refreshing after a long flight and all you want is a huge glass of something sweet.

Marshmallow Tea [$7.80]

Kitty Blush [$7.90]

For the food, I ordered the Hello Kitty Garden salad and Oops Kitty Did It Again. The salad got a couple of good reviews, but I didn’t really like the dressing and the Hello-Kitty-shaped carrot tasted too raw for me. The french fries tasted okay though, I especially like the chili sauce. If you’d prefer to eat something light, I’d suggest the gelato. During the queue, I bought the strawberry and mango double scoop gelato. Not the best I’ve had, but the cup is so instagrammable even if the gelato tasted bad people would still buy it 😂

Rainbow Salad [$15.90]

Oops Kitty Did It Again [$10.50]

This is probably the most beautiful mess we’ve ever seen. Hot peeled-cut fries which are crispy yet fluffy, topped with a magical sprinkle of Himalayan pink salt and parmesan cheese. Truffle ketchup serves as the perfect complement to this crowd pleaser.

Double Scoop Gelato [$10.00]
