“Stars, too, were time travelers. How many of those ancient points of light were the last echoes of suns now dead? How many had been born but their light not yet come this far? If all the suns but ours collapsed tonight, how many lifetimes would it take us to realize we were alone? I had always known the sky was full of mysteries—but not until now had I realized how full of them the earth was.”
— Ransom Riggs, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
Even though it’s only 3 months since fall semester started, I feel like it’s already longer than that. The weeks are short but the days are long. Spent most of my days in the library and the weekends going groceries shopping, my new ‘fun’. Target is like the new Zara now. I spent a lot of time going through every aisle while sipping a trenta strawberry açai refreshers or a grande pumpkin spice latte. It’s also getting colder now. The first day of autumn, the temperature was as high as 30°C, but now that the days are shorter, we have had mornings where the temperature drop as low as 0°C. Not that low, according to the Midwesterners 😂 but it is cold enough now that I can finally wear my Uggs and sweaters. The leaves are also starting to fall now, creating the perfect autumn-vibe. So I took a couple of instagram-worthy shots in front of my dorm a couple of days ago.
This was taken when the temperature dropped to 0° and I was wearing shorts 😳 #shouldhavecheckedtheweather #ohwell #thecolddoesntbothermeanyway
